Yes. A good diaper bag makes a surprisingly great work bag — it's built for the exact thing an office bag needs to do: carry a lot of small things and let you find any of them one-handed.

Why a diaper bag works for the office
Think about what a diaper bag is designed to do. Hold a dozen little things. Keep them organized. Let you grab any one of them without digging. That's the whole job of a work bag too.
What carries over:
- A padded laptop sleeve — most good diaper bags fit a 15–16" laptop
- Structured pockets, so your charger, pens, and keys aren't floating in a pit
- An insulated pouch — made for bottles, perfect for your lunch or a cold drink
- A secured back pocket for your wallet and phone, separate from everything else
The built-in zipper shelf in ours is the real reason people kept carrying it long after diaper duty — it keeps the bag from turning into a black hole.
What to look for in a diaper bag for work
Not every diaper bag makes the jump. Skip anything covered in prints or shaped like an obvious diaper bag. You want something neutral and structured that reads as a backpack, not baby gear.
Look for:
- A clean, solid color — black goes anywhere
- A real laptop sleeve, not just a slot
- A suitcase sleeve if you travel — it slips over your carry-on handle
- Water-resistant material you can wipe down
The one catch
Here's the honest downside: you're carrying baby gear you don't need. The changing pad, the stroller straps — dead weight on a Monday at the office.
